Republican.ie Rules & Guidelines

Please read the following rules before posting. Republican.ie uses a warning system, which the Moderators and Administrators control with their personal judgment. The team reserves the right to ban a member once they reach their maximum warning threshold.

A - Posting News & Statements

1. Any news article posted on Republican.ie may be not be altered from its original format, a link MUST accompany the article or it will be deleted.
2. Press Statements are to be posted in respective "Group Sections", otherwise post them in the Main Discussion Forum. Any press statement that has unsubstantiated allegations against an individual or a group will be edited/deleted at the moderation's discretion.
3. Anything, whether it be a post or thread that is deleted/moved or closed shall not be re-posted without the approval of the administrative team. To do so may cause the loss of your privileges on Republican.ie.
4. If you have a concern or complaint about a moderation decision, please contact one of the Moderation Team members for resolution but do not confront them in open forum, to do so may result in you being banned.
B - Posting

1. Please use correct grammar and punctuation.
2. Do not use all capital letters in your posts.
3. Do not post offensive, insulting or inflammatory comments. See Section C.
4. No text lingo allowed, it will be deleted at the Moderation's Teams discretion.

C - Personal Insults, Attacks, etc.

1. Do not threaten other members.
2. Do not use offensive, abusive or inflammatory language.
3. Do not indulge in gossip relating to other members or real life circumstances.
4. Do not attempt to identify other members.
5. Members are entitled to identify themselves but this is advised against.
6. Do not place real life names on this forum unless they are directly related to a credible news article.

D - Links

1. Links to other forums are not allowed.
2. Links that are graphic or offensive should be posted only when the forum membership/audience is notified.

E - Our right to ban accounts or remove user privileges

Republican.ie does not delete user accounts. You can however close your user account.
Closing your account means we will scramble your password, remove any email subscriptions or notifications you may receive and turn off your Private Messages.
To close your account contact an Administrator, this process is irreversible and permanent.
We may at our absolute discretion refuse you access to the site and/or cancel/terminate your user privileges without prior notice for any reason and you shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of cancellation/termination of your user privileges.


These terms of use, including our proprietary rights, disclaimer of warranties, indemnities, limitations of liability, choice of law and choice of forum, and miscellaneous provisions shall survive any termination of your user privileges. The Administrators of Republican.ie have the final decision in any circumstance regarding the safety and well being of this website.

Republican.ie Web Site Agreement

The Republican.ie Web Site (the "Site") is an online information service provided by Republican.ie ("Republican.ie "), subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions set forth below. 3. Indemnification. 4. Third Party Rights. 5.Term; Termination. This Agreement may be terminated by either party without notice at any time for any reason. The provisions of paragraphs 1 (Copyright, Licenses and Idea Submissions), 2 (Use of the Service), 3 (Indemnification), 4 (Third Party Rights) and 6 (Miscellaneous) shall survive any termination of this Agreement.

6.Miscellaneous. This Agreement shall all be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland applicable to agreements made and to be performed in Ireland. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between Republican.ie and you for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Ireland . Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred. Republican.ie's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. Republican.ie may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.

REPUBLICAN.IE PRIVACY POLICY

Welcome to Republican.ie (the "Site").

We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site, especially when conducting business.
This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site ("Visitors") who visit.

We may email Visitors and members about information, news and updates on the site.

No one.

How is Personally Identifiable Information stored?

Are Cookies Used on the Site?
Cookies are used for a variety of reasons. We use Cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our Visitors and the services they select. We also use Cookies for security purposes to protect our members. For example, if a memberr is logged on and the site is unused for more than 10 minutes, we will automatically log the Authorized Customer off.

How does Republican.ie use login information?
Republican.ie uses login information, including, but not limited to, IP addresses, ISPs, and browser types, to analyze trends, administer the Site.


How can Visitors correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?
Visitors and members may contact us to update Personally Identifiable Information about them or to correct any inaccuracies by emailing us at info@republican.ie

Can a Visitor delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?
We provide Visitors and Members with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site's database by contacting info@republican.ie. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor's entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and will not be available to anyone.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?
We will let our Visitors and Members know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site.
